Terms of use
Last updated 24 October 2026.
The short version
- Docspace is a research aid, not legal advice. Check every point against the original before you rely on it.
- A session lasts 45 minutes and is then deleted, with its chat, answers and uploads. Keep copies of what you need.
- Keep personal data out of your questions and uploads, and, while Docspace is a preview, confidential client files too. Upload only what you have the right to share.
- Use Docspace fairly: don't try to break it, get around its safeguards or extract its internal guidance.
Who runs Docspace
Crypto Docspace ("Docspace") is a preview service run by EggCity ("we", "us"). Contact: hi@eggcity.io. By using Docspace you agree to these terms.
What Docspace does, and what it doesn't
Docspace is a research assistant over a curated set of UK crypto regulatory sources: legislation, FCA rules, policy statements, guidance and forms. Each source is a copy taken on a stated date; later changes are not included until the set is updated. An AI model writes the answers and cites the file and page each point relies on. Docspace is designed for, and offered to, users in the United Kingdom.
A model whose provider has no UK or EU transfer safeguard is used only after you agree, for each session, with "I agree" in the chat when you first send it a message (see Privacy).
Docspace does not give legal, regulatory, financial or tax advice. Using it does not make us your adviser or create a professional relationship, and we have no duty to check, correct or update an answer after it is given.
Check before you rely on an answer
AI answers can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They can misread a passage, miss an exception, or cite the right document for the wrong point. Treat every answer as a starting point:
- open the citations and check each point against the original;
- check that the source is still current;
- don't make an answer the only basis for a legal, regulatory or business decision. Have it reviewed by a suitably qualified person.
Your session is temporary
- A session lasts 45 minutes. When you end it, or the time runs out, it is deleted with its chat, answers and uploads. We cannot recover them.
- Docspace is not a place to keep documents. Copy the answers you need before the session ends.
- Citation links open the session's own copy of each document, so they stop working when the session ends.
- A session belongs to the browser that started it. Don't share it or your sign-in links with others.
What you upload
- Upload only material you have the right to use in this way. You are responsible for any claim that your upload, or our handling of it to run your session, infringes someone else's rights.
- You keep your rights in your uploads. You allow us, our hosting provider, the company that runs the model you use and, where it is used, the AI model routing provider to store and process them to run your session. The passages the assistant reads from them go to that company, sometimes through the routing provider (see Privacy). If you choose Mercury 3, its provider may keep the passages the assistant reads from them, as its own policy allows; choose it only if you accept that.
- Keep personal data out of your questions and uploads: no names, contact details or anything else about you, your clients or other people.
- Uploading confidential or privileged material to any outside tool can put that confidentiality or legal privilege at risk. Check your obligations first. While Docspace is a preview, please don't upload confidential client files.
- Never upload health, genetic or biometric data; data about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, sex life or sexual orientation; criminal records; payment card details; or passwords, keys and other credentials.
- The assistant treats your uploads as evidence to check against the sources, never as instructions.
Using Docspace fairly
Use Docspace lawfully and for its purpose: researching UK crypto regulation. Don't:
- try to extract, copy or rebuild the assistant's internal working guidance;
- try to get around its safeguards or limits, for example with hidden instructions in a question or an upload;
- try to reach other people's sessions, our systems, or data you are not meant to see;
- overload or automate Docspace, or copy its source collection in bulk;
- upload malware, or material that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.
To keep Docspace free and fair, we limit how many sessions run at once, how many sessions one network can have open, and how long they can run each day, and we end idle sessions. We may change these limits or pause new sessions at any time. Don't try to get round them, for example by using many browsers or networks.
Your own organisation's rules on AI tools, information security and data handling still apply to you.
Using the answers
You may use the answers in your own research and work, once you have checked them. They are written by an AI model and are not guaranteed to be original or unique: other people asking similar questions can get similar answers. The source documents belong to their publishers and stay subject to their terms.
Availability
Docspace is a free preview. It can be slow, busy or full (it runs at most 4 sessions at once), and its free AI models share a daily quota. We may change, suspend or withdraw Docspace, or end a session, at any time, for example to keep it secure or within its limits.
Our responsibility
We provide Docspace as it is, without any promise that it is accurate, complete or available. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from errors or omissions in answers, from relying on an answer without checking it, or from the deletion of a session's content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using Docspace after a change, the updated terms apply.
How Docspace handles your data is explained in Privacy.
